Job Opportunity: Experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with Azure DataBricks Expertise

Location: Hybrid (Tuesday and Wednesday in the office)

We are seeking a seasoned Database Administrator (DBA) with a strong background in Azure DataBricks and SQL to join our clients growing team! If you have a passion for designing, developing, and maintaining secure and efficient database structures, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement efficient database solutions within Azure DataBricks.
• Evaluate operations, applications, and requirements to identify database needs.
• Ensure data models and solutions align with data standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate database architecture with cybersecurity best practices.
• Develop and maintain data models and technical implementation plans.
• Work with both legacy and modern computing architectures for seamless data integration.
• Analyze database and security risks, supporting threat intelligence, risk assessments, and incident response.
• Utilize SQL for database performance optimization and secure access controls.
• Identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities in database structures.
• Participate in security audits and compliance reviews.
• Explore AI and machine learning applications for database security and performance optimization.
• Additional skills in Power BI for visualization and dashboard creation are a plus.

Qualifications Required:

• 3 years of experience in a Database Administrator (DBA) role.
• Strong knowledge of Azure DataBricks and SQL.
• Experience developing end-to-end technical plans.
• Understanding of SDLC agile models and best practices.
• Familiarity with legacy and cloud-based computing architectures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cybersecurity principles, cloud security, and data protection.
• Understanding of risk assessment methodologies and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in enterprise security architectures and incident response.
• Familiarity with identity & access management (IAM), threat intelligence, and secure application development.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or cloud security certifications.
