Our team of safety professionals offers safety audits, workplace inspections, safety training, on-site safety professionals and program development to ensure compliance with regulations and reduce safety hazards.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role (3-6 months) for a Site Safety Supervisor at Progressive Safety in the De Soto, Kansas. (40-50 hours per week) Per diem available for non local candidates. The Site Safety Supervisor will be responsible for conducting health & safety audits, providing safety training, overseeing safety engineering practices, managing occupational health programs, and leading accident investigations.

• Participate in trade partner PTP activities
• Conduct JHA reviews onsite.
• Observe and coach safe work habits amongst teammates.
• Communicate best practices and facilitate their implementation.
• Mentor trade partner safety professionals to enhance safety performance.
• Facilitate Hammertech safety inspections with trade partners.
• Assist with incident investigation and development of corrective action.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a safety professional in construction.
• Knowledge of federal and state safety regulations
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in large construction projects is a plus. (Data centers, manufacturing plants, etc..)
• Is qualified to recognize safety hazards; and
• Has the authority to take corrective action; and
• Possesses current certifications in first aid, CPR and AED; and
• Possesses an OSHA 30-hour card; and
• Has an academic degree in safety, ASP, CHST, or CSP designation, OR has a minimum of three (3) years of prior work history as a designated construction safety supervisor.
