Job Description
ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST (Permanent)
Our client, an established organization in WNY, is looking to hire an Accounting Specialist to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity with room for growth in the company.
Responsibilities :
Perform daily accounting functions to contribute to the financial success of the organization
Perform Accounts Payable—receive, review, and process invoices ensuring on-time payments
Accurately post payments and deductions
Perform reconciliations to ensure accurate and up-to-date records are being kept
Act as the liaison between vendors / members and management regarding any accounting issues / inquiries, ensuring timely responses
Create and generate financial reports
Audit contractor payments for accuracy & verify service call processing
Work well independently as well as in a team environment
Complete special projects in a timely manner
Other duties as assigned / as necessary
Details :
Position is full time, direct hire; 37.5 hour work week : 8 : 00AM – 4 : 00PM
Hybrid schedule : 3 days WFH, 2 days in-office (Wednesday must be in-office)
1 year’s experience in Accounting / Accounts Payable
Proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and NetSuite preferred
Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong organization skills, analytical, and time management skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Self-motivated
Relocation not available
