OPWDD BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST (Permanent)
Our client an established organization in WNY is looking to hire an OPWDD Behavior Specialist to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in people s lives.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct behavioral assessments on adults and children with developmental & behavioral issues
- Analyze and summarize findings in order to develop specific action plans that are unique to each individual
- Ensure timely implementation of the behavioral support plans
- Monitor and track progress creating summary reports and distributing them to appropriate team members for review
- Develop systems to determine the success of the behavioral support plans making adjustments and revisions to them as necessary
- Ensure appropriate training is performed for the staff to successfully implement crisis intervention strategies and support plans
- Assist with implementation of crisis intervention procedures as needed ensuring safety or the individuals and staff is maintained at all times
- Collaborate with other team members in Life Plan meetings to determine if each individual s goals and needs are being met
- Analyze current processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate changes
- Ensure a professional bestpractice approach is taken at all times
- Complete special projects in a timely manner with the ability to juggle multiple cases with ease
- Work well in a team environment as well as independently
- Other duties as assigned / as necessary
