SAFETY MANAGER (Permanent)
Our client a n established manufacturing company in the Clarence NY area is looking to hire a Skilled Safety Professional to join their growing team. This is a newly created position that reports directly to the Plant Manager. This is a standalone role to manage and enforce the safety program.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement safety policies and programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards
- Remain uptodate with state and federal safety regulations to ensure best practices
- Draft formal reports i.e. OSHA logs and ensure submittal in a timely manner
- Conduct investigations into all workplace incidents determining the root cause
- Analyze information obtained through investigations to create and implement corrective action plans to reduce incident rates
- Regularly audit safety protocols and conduct inspections in order to identify hazards and determine if adjustments to current procedures are necessary
- Offer educated recommendations to policies and procedures in order to improve the overall safety of the plant
- Regularly collaborate with leadership from other teams driving continuous improvement and encouraging a safe culture
- Work well in a team environment as well as independently
- Juggle multiple projects at a time working efficiently in a fastpaced environment
- Other duties as assigned / as necessary

Salary : $75,000 - $100,000
