Description
Outside Sales Representative
Reports to: Store Manager - DeWitt
Summary/Objective
This position is responsible for the sale and rental of Case/IH Agricultural Equipment Various Implement Brands, and Construction Equipment in the DeWitt area of Arkansas. The individual will provide ongoing support to product distribution channels along with developing long-term partnerships with our PTI customers.
Essential Functions
- Have organizational skills, account strategies, territory planning and administrative responsibilities to ensure a prominent level of customer satisfaction is maintained.
- Effectively understand and use manufacturers’ programs and resources to attain acceptable market share levels.
- Develop and increase sales and rental revenue to meet assigned targets.
- Becomes actively involved in company’s sales orientation and sales training programs.
- Work on Contract opportunities and proposals.
- Assist the company with contract negotiations, close the sale and develop marketing plans for contract accounts.
- Coordinates pickup and delivery of equipment as needed.
- Assists with the planning of sales exhibits.
- Attend trade shows and / or community- based functions.
- Participate in education and training conferences on selling and marketing programs.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of new products, services, and other general information of interest to customers.
- Develop a keen awareness of competitive activity.
- Troubleshoot problems regarding products provided.
- Answers questions from customers and manage complaints.
- Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by Management.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to policies and procedures as specified by the company.
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5 years sales, service, and/or parts experience.
- Previous agriculture or construction equipment experience preferred.
- Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Increased knowledge in the area(s) of heavy agricultural equipment, staying abreast of the latest trends, customer needs and competitor information in agricultural equipment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
