ProHEALTH Dental is seeking a dedicated Treatment Plan Coordinator for our White Plains location.
GENERAL SUMMARY
In this role, reporting to the Office Manager, you will help our patients who need further dental treatment. This includes explaining the treatment and its need, reviewing cost, insurance, payment options, etc.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage all administrative treatment plan processes, including the sending, receipt, communication, and scheduling of treatment plans for the entire practice
· Assist the patient in prioritizing the treatment and establish a plan for scheduling and payment
· Communicate with and answer questions of patients and their families regarding treatment plan specifics
· Act as liaison between managers, dentists, patients, and their families
· Ensure all provider charges, treatments, and codes are posted correctly and follow up on outstanding treatments
· Obtain high treatment plan acceptance by educating the patient on the diagnosis treatment, cost, insurance coverage and financial options
· Complete insurance verification prior to patients’ visits to determine coverage and benefit limits
· Conduct financial consultations with all new patients and with existing patients when new treatment plans are presented.
· Offer patient alternate means of payment such as third-party financing
· Follow up to ensure patients are scheduled, their insurance is verified, and payments are collected
· Monitor each patient’s progress to ensure completion of the dental treatment plan.
· Ensure that all forms for acceptance (predeterminations to third parties benefit providers) have been submitted and patients have been notified of status and their financial responsibilities
· Perform general office duties and other duties as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Minimum of 1 - 2 years' experience presenting dental treatment plans
· Understanding of Dental Terminology and Treatment Plans are a MUST.
· Strong understanding of various Dental Insurance plans
· Experience with Dentrix or comparable practice management software
· Knowledge of dental billing to include experience with dental procedure codes and fee schedules
· Ability to explain dental procedures to a diverse patient base with a caring approach
