What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restaurant Doorman/Security position at Prohibition Columbia?
Busy bar on Main Street that is looking to add a doorman/security for the weekends. We have someone who will be leaving in the near future for family reasons and will need to backfill his position! The bar is geared towards adults, we do not have fights, misconduct or other issues some rowdier spots may have. Solid part time gig that is fairly low maintenance.
The primary responsibility is to be a friendly presence at the door, check ID's, make sure people are not intoxicated before entering, and doing laps through the bar to ensure all is well. We have live music on weekends, no cover charge. We are looking for someone who is professional! Feel free to reply to the email with a resume and we will be in touch for an interview! Responsibilities
- Checking ID's and taking cover charge.
- Checking and maintaining capacity is at the maximum level set by the Fire Marshall on busy nights but not over capacity.
- Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying suspicious activities and reporting them to management.
- Collaborate with law enforcement when required, providing necessary information and support.
- Engage in conflict management to de-escalate situations effectively.
- Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with customers and team members.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
