What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at PROHIBITION?

Job duties include;
- Greeting customers and making them feel welcome
- Scan and verify valid ID's for all customers entering premises
- Verify prior to entry that the person is not obviously intoxicated
- Refuse admission to intoxicated persons, and persons restricted from entering bar
- Ensure guests are adhering to all company policies
- Ensuring zero tolerance policy for any type of harassing or aggressive behaviour.
Will be trained and asked to perform the following functions as part of job duties;
- Greet guests in person and on phone
- Book call in reservations via online reservations system
- Charge Admissions via cash and credit
- Seating guests at assigned seating, and ensure guests are not changing seats without clearance from lead host and server
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months hosting experience in hospitality industry
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively
- Strong organizational and motivational skills
- MUST be available on Friday and Saturday nights. Other shifts available
- Utah On-Premise Alcohol Permit is required within 14 days of start
Prohibition is a 1920's speakeasy, themed bar.
All our staff are required to wear 1920's period clothing.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
