Job Title: Database Administrator Job Type: Full-Time Exempt Reports To: Director of Philanthropy Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000 (per year) Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Database Administrator to support our fundraising and development efforts by managing and optimizing our donor database systems. The Database Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining our donor and fundraising databases, ensuring data integrity, generating reports, and providing support to the Development and Finance teams. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Raiser’s Edge, Blackbaud, and other donor management systems. Key Responsibilities: Database Management & Maintenance * Oversee and maintain Raiser’s Edge, Blackbaud CRM, and other donor/fundraising databases to ensure accuracy and functionality. * Regularly update and clean donor records, ensuring data integrity and eliminating duplicates. * Manage database security, access permissions, and backups. Reporting & Data Analytics * Develop and generate customized reports, queries, and dashboards for fundraising, donor engagement, and campaign analysis. * Provide donor segmentation and prospect research to support fundraising strategies. * Track and analyze key performance metrics for donor retention, giving trends, and campaign effectiveness. Gift Processing & Acknowledgment * Ensure accurate entry and tracking of donations, pledges, and grants. * Work closely with the finance team to reconcile donations and generate financial reports. * Manage automated and personalized donor acknowledgments and tax receipts. User Support & Training * Train development staff on database best practices, reporting functions, and data entry protocols. * Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for database users. * Stay updated on best practices and software updates related to donor management systems. Qualifications & Experience: * Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Non-Profit Management, or related field (or equivalent experience). * 2 years of experience managing donor databases, preferably in a nonprofit development/fundraising environment. * Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge, Blackbaud CRM, and other donor management databases. * Strong skills in data management, reporting, and analytics. * Experience with Excel and database queries preferred. * Experience with Wealth Screening Tools, Mailchimp, Luminate Online, Adobe Dreamweaver, and online fundraising platforms. * Knowledge of fundraising principles, donor stewardship, and non-profit operations. * Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Skills: * Experience with Wealth Screening Tools, Mailchimp, and online fundraising platforms. * Understanding of data privacy regulations and nonprofit compliance standards
