Job Title: Civil/Structural Department Manager
Project Design Group, Inc. is seeking a seasoned civil/structural professional with 12-20 years of experience to lead our department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a talented team of civil/structural engineers and designers in delivering exceptional projects that enhance infrastructure.
- Manage contract documents, client correspondence, and design documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Assign tasks, manage staff, and promote a positive work environment while maintaining project schedules and efficiency.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills, excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making ability, and emotional intelligence.
- Communicate effectively with various levels of management, create and manage budgets, report on projects, and participate in project development.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing foundation systems, steel, concrete, and masonry framed buildings and structures, as well as proficiency in AutoCad and Advanced Steel or 3D Design Software.
Responsibilities include conceptual design input for preliminary project estimates, implementing changes, directing training when required, and passing background checks and/or drug testing.
A Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering and registration as a licensed professional engineer are required.
