Project Enhancement Corporation (PEC), and its team of consulting firms, focus on providing Project Management and specialized technical consulting services in the areas of emergency operations, nuclear incident response, nuclear safety, worker safety and health, quality assurance, environment as well as materials and facilities disposition within the DOE and commercial power industry. Employment Position: Administrative Specialist
Locations:
- Albuquerque, New Mexico
- Amarillo, Texas
- Oak Ridge, Tennessee
These positions are for full-time Administrative Specialists onsite at the Office of Secure Transportation (OST) offices in the above locations. There is one position at each location.
Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative functions.
- Greet visitors in a professional manner and direct them to the appropriate location.
- Schedule meetings involving federal leadership.
- Answer phone calls and respond to callers in a professional manner.
- Take minutes during official meetings.
- Compose memos and other documents for federal leadership signature.
- Transcribe documents.
- Utilize Microsoft Power Point to develop presentations.
- Generate official reports.
- Monitor invoices and expense reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Provide support for other tasks and duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a four-year degree (or high school diploma or state equivalent and 4 years of experience) plus 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience and demonstrated proficiency in use of all Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience filing documents in both electronic and hard copy format.
- Experience using fax machines to transmit documents.
- Must obtain and maintain an “L” security clearance. The candidate’s written consent to conduct a background check for the purposes of maintaining a security clearance will be required as a condition of employment.
- Pre-employment and ongoing reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal substances will be conducted as a requirement for ongoing access to DOE sites. The candidate’s written consent to conduct such tests will be required as a condition of employment.
Desired or Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with processing, storage and transmittal of controlled unclassified information.
- Knowledge of DOE sites and types of operation.
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to define and achieve goals with little supervision.
Physical Demands:
- Able to sit for extended periods and perform work in an office environment, including extensive use of computers.
