What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Technician position at Project Home?
Job Summary: The position is part of the Real Estate Facilities team, which is part of the Real Estate department. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the completion of assigned work orders at their designated locations using Yardi and the Mobile Maintenance Application. Maintenance Technicians will primarily complete routine work orders and vacancy repairs but may be asked to mitigate emergency work orders for completion by Lead Maintenance Technicians.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
WORK ORDERS & VACANCIES:
- Timely completion of routine HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairs with accurate notes.
- Timely completion of unit turnover work orders.
- Maintain accurate supply lists and inventory.
- Maintain accurate inventory of standard maintenance supplies and submit timely requests for purchases
- Perform preventative maintenance of HVAC and building equipment.
Grounds Maintenance:
- Maintain exterior grounds and perform snow removal on sidewalks.
On Call:
- On Call shifts as assigned. On Call shifts run 12:00am Monday through 11:59pm Sunday.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Successful completion of an accredited trade school and can be traded for some experience.
- Minimum of 2 years building maintenance experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair routine, non-emergency work orders.
- Must have a valid driver's license and access to transportation.
- Ability to use basic maintenance hand tools.
- Good organizational skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience with Yardi and Mobile Maintenance Applications.
