We are excited to announce an internal opportunity for the Behavior Technician Specialist position. This role is designed for current Project Hope Foundation (PHF) team members looking to advance their careers while deepening their impact on the autism community. As a Behavior Technician Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in implementing ABA programs, mentoring team members, and supporting client success under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®).
This position is ideal for individuals passionate about leadership, clinical excellence, and fostering a positive and engaging environment for clients and team members alike.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Service Responsibilities:
- Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy in fast-paced clinic settings to build skills based on individualized plans.
- Implement group or 2:1 services at clinic locations.
- Deliver services in non-clinic settings (homes, schools, and community environments).
- Use generalization and probing techniques to expand client learning.
- Model exemplary programming, behavior reduction procedures, and rapport-building for new hires and other Behavior Technicians.
- Teach replacement responses for complex or disruptive behaviors.
- Create engaging, motivation-driven learning environments tailored to each client.
- Collect and track data on client progress using PHF-provided tablets.
- Support caregivers and educators by modeling effective interactions.
Indirect Service Responsibilities:
- Create or gather program materials for client sessions.
- Assist with clinic coverage tasks (e.g., opening/closing duties, staff breaks, leading group activities).
- Collaborate with BCBA®/Assistant Behavior Analyst to ensure treatment integrity through data collection and team coordination.
- Participate in team meetings, demonstrating fluency in program implementation.
- Complete required certifications, quarterly training, and professional development activities.
- Uphold leadership through professional conduct and fostering a positive team environment.
Who Is Eligible to Apply?
Certification and Experience:
- Current active RBT® certification with a minimum of 6 months of experience.
- At least 3 months as a Behavior Technician with Project Hope Foundation, demonstrating clinical excellence and organizational understanding.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong alignment with Project Hope Foundation’s mission and core values.
- Positive, team-oriented mindset with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-changing work environment.
- Proficiency in Central Reach and Google Suite.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and actively engage with children in various settings.
Logistics:
- Reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel to clinics, schools, or clients’ homes within a 30-minute radius.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest in pursuing advanced education and certifications in the field of ABA.
