We are excited to offer a career advancement opportunity for our dedicated team members. The Clinician Apprentice position is designed for individuals ready to take the next step toward becoming a certified behavior analyst. As a member of our Hope Reach program, you will work under the supervision of a qualified behavior analyst, gaining hands-on experience and completing supervised fieldwork hours necessary for certification.
Key Responsibilities
As a Clinician Apprentice, you will support behavior analysts by:
- Program Development: Assisting in designing skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction programs, including researching literature, formulating client goals, and creating program materials.
- Client Monitoring: Interpreting client data to assess progress and adjusting programs as needed, such as recommending staff training or revising client targets.
- Staff and Caregiver Support: Providing training, answering RBT questions, facilitating team meetings, and responding to caregiver emails.
- Assessments and Documentation: Assisting with assessments (e.g., VB-MAPP, EFL, functional assessments) and summarizing results.
- Direct Intervention: Delivering 1:1 therapy protocols for up to 10 hours per week while accumulating unrestricted fieldwork hours.
- Supervision Coordination: Preparing and attending weekly meetings with your supervising behavior analyst and group supervision sessions.
- Fieldwork Tracking: Recording and verifying experience hours using BACB trackers, adhering to Project Hope Foundation guidelines.
- Competency Development: Progressing through PHF’s Experience Checklist, achieving competency in at least 70% of items while being exposed to 90%.
Who Is Eligible to Apply?
To qualify for this position, applicants must:
- Have completed 800 restricted supervision hours with a minimum of 80% completion on the restricted task list.
- Be actively enrolled in graduate-level Applied Behavior Analysis coursework, maintaining at least a grade B.
- Hold a current role as a Behavior Specialist Technician or Lead Technician at Project Hope Foundation.
- Have valid CPR/First Aid Certification (or commit to obtaining it through PHF).
- Pass a clear criminal background check and TB test.
- Possess a positive attitude and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
