POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Director, Corporate Partnerships is responsible for developing, growing, and stewarding new and current relationships with an emphasis on our Partnership for Quality Medical Donations (PQMD), cause marketing and new business opportunity relationships. They will lead interaction at the highest level of donor companies and especially with the PQMD community on outright funding and GIK philanthropy. This position works closely with the VP, Corporations & Foundations and will also interact frequently with the Chief Development & Communications Officer, Global Health's program team, Finance and Legal. This is a front line, externally facing fundraising role. Ninety percent of the time should be spent on current and new corporate partner cultivation and growing existing partnerships by ensuring established goals and objectives are achieved, including strategic planning, fundraising, stewardship, and marketing. The ideal candidate will understand Project HOPE's global health priorities and expand and build its current pipeline while managing an esteemed list of corporate partners. They will cultivate relationships, obtain meetings, and market Project HOPE's program opportunities to corporate entities in various industries. They will develop strategies designed to demonstrate the programs and mission of Project HOPE to achieve increased funding.

The position will also manage the Senior Development Coordinator who oversees the Corporate and Foundation team operations.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cultivate a pipeline of Global Health corporate donors and grow the partnerships which includes outright, GIK and cause marketing funding opportunities.
  • Understand entire sales cycle from identifying targets by researching company needs, developing proposals, negotiating contracts, and providing stewardship.
  • Develop relationships with senior management of prospective partners to communicate Project HOPE's value proposition and secure partnerships with an emphasis on growing PQMD relationships.
  • This person will actively participate on monthly PQMD meetings, serve on a subcommittee and support Project HOPE's EVP of Global Health in his volunteer leadership role with PQMD Serve on a PQMD subcommittee.
  • Lead with the identification and collaborate with Marketing to execute Cause Marketing relationships.
  • Direct and manage clear understanding of relationship strategy internally among key stakeholders.
  • Develop briefings, presentations, decks, and customized collateral for prospective partners.
  • Stay on top of emergency response and market strategies to respond.
  • Maintain accurate contact information for communications and mailings in SharePoint, pipelines, and donor management system.
  • Manage Senior Development Coordinator.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required
  • 10 years experience in non-profit fundraising environment with a track record of developing strong partnerships with global corporations.
  • Experience in corporate or nonprofit new business development roles with experiencing in raising 6-figure gifts and/or programmatic funding.
  • Experience managing a dynamic portfolio of high-level prospects and key relationships in areas of international health.
  • Strong negotiating skills with proven success of conceiving and selling multifaceted, complex sales opportunities.
  • Highly proficient networker, able to develop and retain diverse and extensive network both internally and externally.
  • Experience in securing event sponsorships.
  • Experience in creating cause marketing strategy and partnerships.
  • Demonstrated experience in relationship management, presentation skills and written proposals to C-suite and Board of Directors.
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, result-orientated, and strategic thinker.
  • Political savvy, organizational agility, perseverance.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to present to high level corporate decision makers.
  • Ability to understand and meet funder requirements and organization policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a collaborative and supportive member of a high-performance team.
  • Ability to travel as needed, including internationally.

  • Work environment: Typical office environment with exposure to a minimal noise level.
  • Ability to travel domestically 35-40% Note: Project HOPE employees work in the global health field and may be required to travel or work in countries where working conditions are classified as "hardship".


Salary range starting at $147,000 USD per year based on candidates residing in the US. Compensation for the role is dependent on several factors including a candidate's location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
