Position Description
We are currently seeking a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD or Psy.D) at Project Hospitality who will play an integral role in our out-patient behavioral health MHOTR’s program. The Clinical Psychologist will provide services to children who are receiving services in our Article 31 Mental Health clinic. These services are provided in accordance with established policies and procedures and are delivered using clinically appropriate methodologies and prevailing standards or care.
Essential Job Functions
- Provide initial screenings and mental health assessments that identify service needs and recommend treatment recommendations.
- Provision of diagnosis-based treatment to children and families experiencing symptoms of severe and persistent mental illness.
Specific Job Functions
- Provides individual & group psychotherapy for children and families in our Article 31 Clinic MHOTRS clinic.
- Administer full psychological / diagnostic evaluations to children ages 13 years and older.
- Works with NPP, Therapists, and Primary Care staff to ensure that there is a comprehensive plan for care of patients
- Participates in team meetings and cases conferences
- Strong understanding of Medicaid and managed care payer guidelines.
- Familiarity with motivational interviewing skills, implementing interventions commensurate with stages of change and commitment to working within a behavioral health setting.
- Knowledge of evidence based models of care providing services with children and families experiencing onset of behavioral disorders including but not limited to trauma.
- Familiarity with OMH Part 599 regulations and standards of care
Proficient in computer skills and documenting in agency electronic records data base.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution
- Completion of post-residency training and NJ licensure as a Clinical Psychologist
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic evaluation techniques and psychotherapy modalities
- Proficiency in medical documentation and data collection
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
