Description
- Responsible for direct implementation of HUD vocational programming and development.
- Provide direct supervision to the job coach.
- Develop and provide services along vocational/educational continuum.
- Facilitate HUD Housing First Initiative.
- Outreach community providers/resources to develop working relationships and identify opportunities for service provision and job placement.
- Identifying gaps in services and provide needed intervention.
- Identify individual client educational/vocational needs and develops workshops/ trainings accordingly.
- Expand programming and support along residential services continuum of care through development of educational/vocational workshops and small group skills training.
Qualifications
Position requires a Bachelors. Previous experience with the homeless population needed. Needs ability to establish workload priorities and balance diverse word orders. Must have clean/valid DL. Must have exceptional communication skills both orally and in writing. Physical ability to perform the essential job functions are needed. In addition, the Vocational Counselor shall perform any duties as required to meet the new needs of the program and the clients we serve.
