Summary
As a Grant Writer at PROJECT LIFT Inc., you will play a vital role in securing funding to support our programs aimed at enhancing mental health and providing vocational training opportunities among adolescents. This position is crucial for advancing our mission and ensuring the sustainability of our impactful initiatives.
Responsibilities
Conduct grant prospect research matching new funders with Project LIFT’s mission and programs.
· Lead the development, writing, and submission of foundation, corporate, federal, and state grants to include letters of intent, proposals, supporting documents, and all other grant related correspondence.
· Manage portfolio of existing grant funders.
· Track grant deadlines and manage all submissions and reporting for new and existing funders.
· Work closely with data team to obtain and track internal data for objectives/outcomes/deliverables, methodology, standards of performance and evaluation.
· Coordinate with finance department to create grant budgets to accompany proposals.
· Develop and maintain a master file of all grant funders, deadlines, and attachments.
· Maintain high level of confidentiality.
· Communicate and coordinate with program directors and other staff to determine funding needs, staffing details, and gather success stories.
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3 years of grant writing experience for a non-profit organization, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Proven track record of securing grant funding
· Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
· Knowledge of grant application process and procedures.
· Highly organized with the ability to implement and maintain systems and processes.
· Knowledge of funder landscape for Martin, St. Lucie, and/or Palm Beach Counties a plus
