Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Shipping Manager to oversee our shipping operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate shipments, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of warehouse management systems, and a commitment to process improvement.
- Clear knowledge of warehouse operations
- Must have Experience in Logistics preferably as a Shipping Manager
- Ability to multitask
- Clear knowledge of International Shipping & Commercial Invoices a must
- Excellent Leadership and organizational skills
- Physical strength, stamina, and the ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
- Proficiency in Excel and /QuickBooks
- Fork Lift/Tow Motor Certified
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Communicating with Project Managers and/or Customers to answer shipping and receiving questions and troubleshoot problems
- Ensuring inventory and storage areas are clean and maintained
- Ensure safety procedures are being followed when operating forklifts and other machinery
- Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening
- Great interpersonal skills
- Exceptional time management and organization skills
- Keep up-to-date on the latest federal and state safety regulations
- Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner
