Traveling Project Superintendent- Multi Family Wood Frame Construction
Project One Construction, a Minnesota company, is seeking applications for a Project Superintendent with 5-8 years of experience supervising Commercial /Multi-Family Construction projects. The ideal candidate will have field experience with multi-family and senior housing construction. This position will oversee project planning, scheduling, and implementation with the following guidelines.
Looking for travel to Western/Northern Wisconsin and Minnesota at this time.
Quality Management
· Project is built to meet or exceed specifications set by Architect/Contract i.e., Per the plan and spec.
· Review the contract documents/plans and identify potential issues early on.
· Notify Project Manager of any project related issues for clarification by Arch./Eng./Owner.
· Conduct toolbox safety talks to ensure OSHA compliance by all subs.
· Monitor performance of subcontractors and identify any deficiencies in the quality of work being performed.
· Ensure site is kept clean and orderly and all debris is placed in the proper dumpsters.
Scheduling
· Develop with the Project Manager an overall preliminary job schedule.
· Plan out Subcontractor coordination via 2-week look ahead progress schedules.
· Monitor subcontractor workforce staffing and hours of work to ensure completion of job on schedule.
· Manage jobsite deliveries and scheduling to ensure proper lead time and proper sequence.
Administration
· Maintain project files with accurate and up to date information.
· Hold weekly or bi-weekly project coordination meetings with the Project Manager.
· Perform a daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspection and document the report.
· Prepare and submit daily field reports and other required paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with all job site safety regulations.
· Ensure that the site is always secure, and all visitors are logged in and wear appropriate PPE.
Qualifications
· Field construction experience (5-8 years, including supervisory skills)
· Commitment to client service
· Excellent verbal and written communicate skills.
· Effective interpersonal skills including the ability to maintain a professional demeanor while working with Owners, Architects, Subcontractors and Employees
· Problem-solving abilities
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
· Results driven with strong sense of urgency
· OSHA certifications for safety.
· Proficient at project scheduling
· Knowledge of carpentry and construction trades
· Computer skills, with a high level of proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and scheduling applications.
