Job Title: Adult Education Instructor & Case Manager
Reports to: Director of Education
FLSA Status: Exempt
Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Director of Education, the Adult Education Instructor & Case Manager will lead classroom-based training for job readiness, industry credentialing and computer instruction. The Adult Education Instructor & Case Manager will also provide case management services to assigned caseload.
Specific responsibilities of the Adult Education Instructor & Case Manager include:

Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Director of Education, the Adult Education Instructor & Case Manager will lead classroom-based training for job readiness, industry credentialing and computer instruction. The Adult Education Instructor & Case Manager will also provide case management services to assigned caseload.
Specific responsibilities of the Adult Education Instructor & Case Manager include:
- Recruit and screen clients for class and program fit
- Provide workforce development, industry credentialing and computer instruction to clients enrolled in classroom-based training
- Develop curriculum in conjunction with the Director of Education to meet employment, training, and program goals
- Assess the skill and education levels of clients through self-directed tools and various standardized tests
- Cultivate and maintain resources in the community that will benefit clients
- Develop and execute individualized service plans tailored to address clients' unique barriers to sustaining employment and housing while ensuring alignment with their skills, strengths, and long-term career objectives
- Provide job-placement assistance
- Enter client data into the computer tracking system
- Other tasks as assigned by the Executive Director or designee
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- One or more years of teaching experience and strong classroom management skills required
- Advanced computer literacy and technology skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) and Google Workspace applications
- Familiarity with the barriers associated with individuals experiencing homelessness, returning to the community from incarceration, and experiencing substance use disorders.
- Communication: Able to relay ideas clearly and effectively through writing, speaking, and presentations; shares appropriate information to keep people informed; is seen as approachable
- Teamwork: Values the opinions of others; assists others when needed; participates effectively as a member of a team; balances personal contributions and needs with those of other members of the team to achieve common objectives

- Ability to work onsite at Project Place daily with the potential for assigned remote workdays dependent on department needs
- Ability to use public transit and agency-provided ride share service to travel to community partner locations
