As the Director of Development and Partnerships (DDP) at Project QUEST, you will lead the agency’s external relations team and implement and manage its development, fundraising, and marketing strategy, directly impacting the resources that support our mission. Reporting to the President and CEO, the DDP will lead a team responsible for outreach, marketing and fundraising.
The DDP is responsible for all facets of external relations including grant administration, donor engagement, philanthropic participation, alumni relations, marketing, communications and events. The DDP cultivates and builds effective corporate, governmental, business and individual relationships essential to the Project QUEST mission. The DDP will maintain a highly visible external presence and coordinate development efforts through regular contacts and/or meetings.
Job Duties include
- Lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive fundraising strategy to retain donor base, cultivate new contributors, and diversify fundraising efforts.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with corporate, community, governmental, and individual/alumni stakeholders.
- Manage a continuous grant-making pipeline process to enable sustained service delivery.
- Collaborate with QUEST leadership to integrate fundraising, advocacy, and public relations efforts.
- Create and execute a marketing plan to share mission, promote programs, and increase awareness.
- Oversee brand identity through consistent communications, marketing, and social media strategies.
- Engage with diverse communities to reach organization’s enrollment goals.
- Serve as dynamic leader and advocate at relevant events, donor engagements, and conferences to enhance fundraising and community engagement initiatives.
- Develop and monitor KPIs, tracking fundraising, marketing and outreach outcomes to report to the CEO and Board of Directors.
- Equip the CEO with targeted strategies, donor insights, and engagement tools to facilitate high-level solicitations.
- Maintain timely and accurate data management/reporting practices.
- Supervise and mentor Marketing & Communications Coordinator, Grants and Donor Relations Coordinator and Outreach Program Manager.
- Promote organizational integrity, financial stewardship and inclusive work environment.
- Serve as role model for Project QUEST cultural pillars (A-D-E-P-T).
- Other duties needed to help fulfill the QUEST mission and values will be assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, public administration, social science, business or related field.
- General experience in fundraising and development, business development, marketing, communications, public relations, customer/vendor relationship management.
- 5 years - technical experience in marketing, communications, donor relations, grant development, fundraising, campaign planning, external relations or social media strategies and measures
- 2 years - leadership experience in marketing, communications, fundraising, external relationship management or people/team management
- Working knowledge of strategic/operational planning, employment and training programs, federal, state and local regulations.
- Able to occasionally work a flex schedule (potential weekends) to accommodate external outreach, training or employment events.
