The Crisis Line Advocate plays a vital role in providing immediate support and assistance to individuals in crisis. Duties
- Respond to crisis calls promptly and assess the caller's needs.
- Provide emotional support and crisis management to individuals experiencing distress.
- Utilize active listening skills to understand the caller's situation and provide appropriate resources.
- Maintain accurate documentation of calls and interventions in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, social services, and community resources to facilitate referrals for ongoing support.
- Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills in child family counseling, and crisis intervention techniques.
- Engage with children and families as needed, ensuring a sensitive approach to their unique situations.
Skills
- Proficient understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality practices.
- Experience working with children in crisis situations is highly desirable.
- Excellent crisis management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
