What are we doing at Project Resources Group (PRG)?
PRG seeks an ambitious, motivated individual to join our team as a Construction Coordinator who will be filling the position of Construction Field Inspector. This position covers NYC capital construction projects close to electric and gas utilities in the local market.

PRG seeks an ambitious, motivated individual to join our team as a Construction Coordinator who will be filling the position of Construction Field Inspector. This position covers NYC capital construction projects close to electric and gas utilities in the local market.
On a typical day, you will be responsible for the following tasks
- Pre and active Construction site walk outs of with crew foreman/super.
- Providing measurements, photos, documentation, and producing hand or digital sketches.
- Daily construction site monitoring and reporting,
- Confirming construction schedules.
- Tracking crew locations.
- Identifying water, sewer, electric, gas, and other utility infrastructure.
- Conduct and or Attending field meetings.
- Interacting with construction contractors, other utility inspectors, and NYC project personnel.
- Monitor construction crews to ensure proper excavation; equipment, tools, ppe, and methods are being used, and all safety protocols are being followed.
- 4 years in the construction industry, able to read blueprints.
- Knowledge of NYC 811 and local 753 dig codes, ability to take accurate measurements, produce detailed sketches, photos, and written documentation
- Prior experience as an excavation laborer, construction laborer, laborer foreman, machine operator, backhoe operator
- Direct experience with utilities such as water, sewer, electric, and gas infrastructure is most desirable
- Ability to work with contractors, other utility inspectors, and NYC personnel on construction projects
- Knowledge of excavation cost/time estimating is a big bonus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a positive attitude. Having a positive attitude to succeed in this job would be best.
- The candidate must be well-organized, proactive, resourceful, flexible, able to communicate with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and perform highly professionally.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office programs.
- Some overtime may be required at times based on the volume of work.
- Requires a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
- Work is mostly outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather.
- While performing duties, employees must walk extensively, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day.
- While performing duties, employees must be able to drive to sites throughout New York City and surrounding areas.
- Competitive hourly rate based on skills, experience and qualifications, ranging from $35.00 - $45.00 / hour.
- Mileage reimbursement for business-related vehicle use.
