Field Surveyor

We are looking for an outside plant expert in your area for our Field Surveyor position. Is that you?

On a typical day, you will be responsible for the following tasks

• Prepares routine field notes for projects, such as the preparation of various drawings of structures and equipment systems derived from layouts and sketches
• Follows established technical specifications to prepare drawings.
• Job includes traveling to commissioned work sites, gaining access, and surveying the area and the target buildings(s).
• Field Surveyors may be responsible for client and customer contact and obtaining permission to visit the commissioned sites.
• Responsible for sketching schematics immediately following a field survey.
• Work is 90-100% in the field.

You should possess the following skills and abilities to be successful in this role.

Qualifications

• Telecommunications or utility experience is ideal.
• The ideal applicant may have been a field tech, surveyor, or construction coordinator.
• Ability to read and understand drawings
• Ability to use Google Maps and Google Earth
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products
• Excellent verbal, written, phone, and interpersonal skills
• Proven strong analytic / problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills.
• IkeGPS experience is a PLUS

Physical Demands:

• Work is 100% outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather
• While performing duties, the employee must walk extensively, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day.
• Must have a car and a valid driver's license.

• $25-$35 per hour depending on experience
