Day Care Center Teacher
The Daycare Center Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. They implement daily activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development: Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities.
Supervision: Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
Classroom Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
Observation and Assessment: Monitor children's progress and behavior and keep accurate records.
Communication: Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about their child's development and daily activities.
Nutrition and Hygiene: Assist with feeding, diapering, and toilet training as needed.
Encouragement: Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere.
Qualifications:
Education: Child Development Associate Certificate required. Bachelor’s degree, P-3, certification preferred.
Experience: Experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood education setting. Experience using Creative Curriculum and the implementation of GOLD assessments, preferred.
Skills: Strong communication, patience, creativity, and understanding of child development.
Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
