Project Service Inc is currently hiring for a full-time Lubrication Tech position in the Quinnesec, MI area. $20.00/hr. Weekdays - day shift. Full time benefits include 401K, health/dental/vision insurance, paid holidays & vacation. Must pass background check and drug test.
Job Summary: Responsible for routine relubrication with oil and grease, lubricant contamination control practices, machine inspections and troubleshooting, automatic lubrication systems inspection and troubleshooting, and oil analysis such as sample collection and handling, analysis, and resolution of issues for all lubricated mechanical systems.
Essential Functions:
- Grease relubrication with manual and automatic dispensing equipment
- Filling reservoirs and topping off reservoirs
- Changing filters ad breathers on reservoirs
- Draining and cleaning reservoirs
- Use simple techniques to select lubricant with the proper base oil and additive system for machinery commonly found in industrial settings
- Operating filtration equipment
- Maintenance of dispensing equipment and automatic systems
- Perform field level oil analysis
- Collect and label samples for analysis
- Mechanical modification of systems as directed to facilitate sampling and filtration, and other proactive improvements
- Labeling and tagging reservoirs, equipment, inventory, and delivery of containers
- Printing and fulfilling planned lubrication activities
- Update scheduling systems, including adding notes to system and requesting work orders for maintenance repairs and activities
- Troubleshoot common lubrication related procedural and equipment problems
- Stocking inventory locations
- Use of tools and equipment for routine and non-routine lubrication functions
- Reporting in writing any discrepancies or conditions that require corrective, predictive, or planned maintenance for production systems
- Follow all safety procedures
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 3 years of experience in area of mechanical knowledge or 2 years in trade school training
- Understanding of fundamental lubrication concepts as defined in the ICML MLT Level 1
- Hold ICML MLT Level 1 Certification or obtain it within 90 days of hire
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Have a strong fundamental understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and circulating systems operation, and contamination control and maintenance functions
- Maintenance background in the area of lubrication
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to operate forklifts and other moving vehicles or equipment safely
- Able to work in extreme weather(hot and cold), high heat, high humidity and dusty environments
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to work safely
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs
- Ability to work overhead
- Ability to reach, stretch, kneel, bend, walk, twist and see
General Requirements:
- Basic computer literacy, including the capability to operate standard email, spreadsheet, word processing and moderately complex software, and employ web-based programs, including those used for lubrication scheduling and oil analysis
- Good oral and written communication skills and good team building skills
- Capability to work in an unsupervised position effectively
- Capability to read and interpret technical documents, such as:
- OEM Maintenance plans
- Blue prints
- Advanced Lubrication Technology instruction and recommendations
- Software system instructions
- Capability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) for the purpose of interpreting alarms, calculating lubricant inventory and calculating relubrication quantity considerations
- Certified to operate lifting equipment (Fork Truck, Skip Hoist, Etc.)
- Perform lock-out procedures
- Demonstrate initiative and strong work habits
- Willingness to learn new lubrication technology
- Must be able to work day shifts, shut downs, weekends, and overtime if requested
- Must pass drug test
- Must pass criminal background check
- Abide by Project Service Inc. Company and Employee Policy Manual
- Follow safety and site procedures of client
