We are looking for a Construction Safety Manager to oversee multiple construction sites, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, safety regulations, and site protocols.

Key Responsibilities:🚧 Construction Site Safety Oversight- Monitor and enforce OSHA safety compliance on multiple project sites.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and generate site safety reports.
- Ensure adherence to the Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) requirements.
- Oversee contractor safety compliance and monitor high-risk operations, including:
- Fall Protection Plans
- Crane Lift Plans
- Confined Space Entry
- Excavation & Scaffolding Plans
- Hazardous Materials Abatement (asbestos, lead-based paint, etc.)
- Review and verify contractor safety submittals and reports.
- Investigate site incidents, prepare lessons learned, and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct safety orientations for contractors and ensure compliance with the zero-tolerance policy.
- Participate in safety stand-downs and scheduled construction progress meetings.
- Attend construction meetings with college project teams and general contractors.
- Lead safety discussions (toolbox talks) and report site observations.
- Provide weekly Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) reports to the College Project Manager.
- Work closely with the Program Safety Manager to analyze and improve site safety measures.
- Ability to travel between multiple construction sites throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects in different stages of construction.
Minimum 10 years of continuous experience in commercial construction
Minimum 5 years of managing multiple projects in different stages of construction at multiple job site locations
Minimum 5 years field experience as Construction Safety Consultant working with General Contractors and Subcontractors
Experience working with OCIP
Minimum of 2 years experience in construction of educational projects in a campus environment.
Current OSHA 500 (Trainer in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry) - (include copy of certificate in resume package)
Current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification - (include copy of certificate in resume package)
Minimum of holding a valid Safety Management Specialist (SMS) certificate or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) issued by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) or Certified Safety Manager Construction (CSMC) certificate issued by the National Association of Safety Professionals (NASP) - (include copy of certificate in resume package)
Experience on modernization-type projects involving abatement, remediation and other hazardous waste material removal such as asbestos and lead-based paint
Extensive knowledge and experience with senior safety management with large building programs across multiple sites
Experience participating in scheduled construction progress meetings
Strong experience in incident and daily construction reporting
Ability to effectively communicate with owners construction management staff and contractor’s site Management Team
Ability to manage, control and accurately report in a timely manner all safety incidents
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
✔ Degree in Construction Management, Safety Management, or Engineering.
✔ Additional safety/health certifications relevant to the position.
✔ Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification.
