Position: Part time After School Specialist
Location: Project Vida Afterschool Enrichment and youth Programs
Job Description:
1. Candidate must possess education or related field with a combination of education and experience working and supervising children's recreational and instructional activities. Provide youth development experience, with elementary, middle and high school youth in afterschool settings.
2. Support students with (homework, school projects, tutoring, mentoring). Enhance
extracurricular activities (arts and crafts, science projects, community service, leadership, sports, recreations, computers, technology, and health). Facilitate and monitor a wide variety of educational and recreational activities for participants with diverse groups.
3. Implement and lead social and recreational activities for participants at assigned times and sites, summer programs, field trips and other special activities.
Job Requirements:
1. Associate’s Degree in a related field or a minimum 60 semester credits of study in correlated fields, with a combination of education and experience. Experience developing and applying structured educational activities. Apply education and experience, with elementary, middle and high school students in an after-school setting.
2. Candidate must provide excellent organizational and project management skills, including ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects and follow through to completion. Commitment to bringing the best, high quality programming possible to students, a strong belief in the potential of young people and a genuine desire to help them succeed.

Time: Availability: Monday through Friday during after-school hours, generally 2pm to 6:00 pm or 7:00 pm.; 20-25 hours per week (not inclusive of meetings/trainings and some Saturdays)

Special Requirements: Must have or willing to have a certification in First Aid and CPR, Food Handler’s Card. Valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
