We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Activity-Based Therapy (ABT) Specialist to join our rehabilitation team. This role focuses on implementing movement-based interventions to improve motor function, strength, and independence in individuals with neurological conditions, spinal cord injuries, or other physical impairments. The ABT Specialist will work with patients to engage in weight-bearing, repetitive, and task-specific activities aimed at promoting neuroplasticity and functional recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement personalized, evidence-based therapy programs to enhance mobility and functional independence.
• Utilize task-specific, weight-bearing, and repetitive movement exercises to stimulate neuromuscular recovery.
• Work closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Provide hands-on assistance and support to patients during therapy sessions, ensuring safety and proper technique.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and strategies for continued progress.
• Document patient progress, therapy plans, and outcome measures in accordance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
• Maintain and operate rehabilitation equipment, ensuring proper use and safety.
• Stay up to date on emerging research and best practices in activity-based therapy and neurorehabilitation.
