The Sr. Azure DevOps Engineer is responsible for monitoring, triaging, and supporting production software applications. This role includes technical research, business process analysis, and implementing solutions to ensure platform availability.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Set up and configure resources in Azure cloud environment, including app services, virtual machines, databases, storage, and networking components.
- Manage Azure security, domains, certificates, and app registrations.
- Manage deployment of latest release and hotfixes to production.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage single tenant architecture with IaC.
- Collaborate to perform root cause analysis for production issues.
- Analyze software functionality and suggest improvements.
- Monitor application performance, investigate errors, report production impacts, and escalate serious issues.
- Develop architecture for integrating infrastructure technologies.
- Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data within the cloud environment.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or similar.
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer) are advantageous.
- Proficiency in Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, Azure Blob Service, Azure Gateway, Azure Elastic Job Agent, Azure Batch Service, Azure AI Services and Azure DevOps.
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, ARM templates, Terraform) for automation.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Knowledge of networking concepts, load balancing, and security protocols.
- Experience as an Application Support Engineer.
- Familiarity with front-end and back-end programming languages (C#, JavaScript, Angular).
- Knowledge of encryption standards (AES) and Azure Monitor.
Where you'll be working
This is a hybrid full-time role based out of our Richardson, TX office. Monday-Thursday will be spent in-office and Friday is a work-from-home day.
