Entry Level Assembly Mechanical Tech

The entry level mechanic will work on assembling projects with senior level mechanics utilizing CAD drawings and best practices.  This involves use of personal tools and shop tools to assemble equipment.  The main focus for this position will be to become proficient and understand how we build our equipment.  There are many details within the mechanic job to master since we build equipment ranging from carts for the countertop industry to fully automated robotic systems within the aluminum HVAC industry.

Job responsibilities for first year would include:

-         Work on new mechanical builds with existing senior level techs learning the details of machine building.

-         Work with controls and robotics engineers to debug equipment and troubleshoot why equipment may not work as designed.

-         Assist electrician in running wires back to panels, potentially terminate wires and assist in panel building if work load allows.

-         Assist on installations after initial 6 months – 1 year.

-         General labor needs within the shop.

The second year of work would include similar work, but with less supervision and more installation work.  The ultimate goal of this position is to have a senior mechanic/electrician that can help on installs around the world working with the controls and robotics engineers.  The third year would be considered fully trained, completing installations and machine builds unassisted for the most part.

There is opportunity to develop within this position into electrician role, senior mechanic/mechanical manager, robot engineer, controls engineer, robot/controls engineer and others.  Title/role changes are typically considered after 2-3 years in a role or as positions open internally.
