Description
Projects Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Quality Control Inspector to join our team. We are a manufacturer of complex small, machined components for the Aerospace and Power Systems industries and has been in business for over fifty years. The qualified candidate will report directly to the Quality Manager and is responsible for performing inspection on machined and assembled parts to ensure that the final product meets all customer drawings, specifications, and quality requirements prior to being shipped. This will include First piece, In-process, and Final Inspection.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspection of all aerospace products to ensure that they meet quality standards.
- Create and maintain detailed records of all inspections and tests performed.
- Work with other departments to ensure that all products are manufactured to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Stay up to date with industry standards and regulations to ensure that our products meet all relevant requirements. Requirements:
- Inspect for proper identity and dimensions using measuring devices. Visually inspect for defects or damage such as corrosion, cracks, dents, scratches, and pits.
- Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models / designs, drawings, and procedures.
- Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.
- Ability to read and understand blueprint drawings.
- Able to achieve United Technologies Corporation (UTC) MCL/LCS Certifications (CLCSR)
- Thorough knowledge of GD&T
- Ability to read and understand customer requirements, specifications, and purchase orders.
- Able to review certifications for materials and sub-contractor certifications for accuracy and completeness.
- Must be familiar with inspection tools and gaging such as micrometers, calipers, and specialized gaging.
- Ability to follow designated Quality Plans as defined by the Company/Customer.
- Use a wide variety of inspection tools and equipment (micrometers, verniers, height gauges, OHM meter, Impedance meter, borescope, etc.). Read, interpret, and follow minimally to moderately complex drawings, work orders and specifications. Inspect and check the calibrations of measuring devices and equipment.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent along with additional education or certification in quality control or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control role in the aerospace industry.
- Possess a-strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with quality control tools and techniques.
- Previous experience in MCL/LCS requirements and duties a strong plus.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment. a strong background in aerospace manufacturing, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

- Proficiency with computers.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
- Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements is a plus.
- Must read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Must be able to move parts up to 40lbs.
- Must have a high sense of urgency and the ability to meet schedule requirements in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
