The New Project Launch Coordinator will oversee and support the smooth and successful launch of new products or initiatives. The coordinator will manage the launch process from planning to execution, coordinating with various teams, ensuring all aspects are aligned, and keeping stakeholders informed. Duties and Responsibilities:
- BOM creation and validation for all customers required sale items for model year changes or launch related planning
- Support material planning for preseries builds events
- Lead coverage analysis for all preseries builds events
- Coordinate production scheduling for all preseries builds events
- Perform failure mode analysis
- Support global team in material management/build coordination
- Management/oversight of plant engineering change control with local
Engineering (including E/Q level coordination with Quality and shop floor)
- Supplier demand management PO creation, EDI release support, etc.
- Coordinate manufacturing engineering and quality engineering activities for new programs
- Coordinate the packaging of the finished product in support of the program
- Provide problem solving support to the production lines
- Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen events and VA/VE activities
- Coordinate the industrialization of tools into the plant operation
- Provide followup to purchase orders for production components, tools and equipment
- Support the design and development of the PFMEA, Control Plan and Flow
Chart
- Schedule and provide followup to prelaunch trial runs
- Provide support to the preproduction area and external vendors as required
- Support customer requirements and requests as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience with some experience managing projects
- Thorough understanding of production processes and procedures
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Problemsolving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work across functionally Design Engineering, Program
Management, Supplier Management, Material/Logistics Planning, Quality and
Production
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with product development and launch processes
- Proficient with MS Office Products
Physical Factors:
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to do a combination of walking, sitting and bending
- Lift up to 40 lbs. with or without assistance
