Job Summary
This is a challenging role that requires a strong foundation in patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized patient care, addressing their unique needs and concerns.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
- Collaborate with physicians to examine patients and perform minor diagnostic procedures and treatments as needed.
- Monitor patient physiological data and intervene when necessary.
- Administer medication as prescribed, initiate and regulate intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Ensure seamless transitions of patient care through effective communication with families and healthcare teams.
- Refer patients and families to relevant personnel for guidance on post-hospital care.
- Optimize resource utilization by delegating tasks to support staff.
Requirements:
- Recent experience (within the last 3 years) in Med Surg / Telemetry nursing.
- Degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Active Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided).
- BLS/ACLS certification (AHA).
