Job Title : Microbiology Tech I
Duration : 12 Months
Location : Columbus, OH 43215
Shift Timings :
Sunday-Wednesday 10pm 8 : 30am and
Wednesday-Saturday 6pm 4 : 30am
JOB Description :
Will prepare laboratory media / solutions, operate auto clave, PH solutions, plate / enumerate microbes, fill out data reports and place results on spreadsheet using Lotus. Data analysis and will be responsible for communicating data results. Must be able to do calculations. Must be very alert, conscientious. Must be able to troubleshoot and have good analytical skills, and flexible to being trained.
Will assist a daily team of Technicians by collecting samples, test in-process samples, and finished samples.
Media making
Daily water collecting and testing.
Will make and record observations.
Preform simple calculations.
Help in support functions; stocking and distributing supplies, collecting, washing, and storing glassware.
Other tasks as needed.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Microsoft Office skills
Ability to multitask
Aseptic technique
Microbiology background
Previous lab experience
Education :
Associate degree with at least 2 years lab experience (experience can be college lab work). Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or Food Science straight from college. Manager will consider candidates graduating soon.
