Job Title : Medical Technician III / Clinical Laboratory Scientist
Location : Santa Clara, CA 95054
Duration : 12 Months
Shift Time : 9 : 00 AM to 6 : 00 PM
Pay Rate : $38-43 / hr on W2
Job Description :
Review blood film slide
2-3 yrs exp in clinical lab exp hematology
Certified licensed, Clinical Laboratory Scientist
Be able to identify blood films
BS / MS in Medical Technology (ASCP) certified.
5 years in comprehensive and continuing experience in following standard diagnostic procedures.
Conducts chemical analyses of body fluids such as blood, urine, and spinal fluid, to determine presence of normal and abnormal components.
Studies blood cells, their numbers and morphology.
Performs blood group, type and compatibility tests for transfusion purposes.
Analyzes test results and enters findings in computer.
Performs quality control studies to ensure accuracy of clinical data.
Engages in medical research under direction of Chief Medical Technologist.
Performs routine preventative maintenance of assigned instruments and equipment according to established schedule and procedure.
Verifies instrument functioning by checking and calibrating specific lab instruments and documents data.
Records on instrument logs any repairs, replacement and maintenance needed of equipment.
Trains and supervises students
