JOB SUMMARY
The IT Technical Support Specialist is responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, and supporting Prolec GE Waukesha corporate computer hardware and software systems. In addition, this position fulfills the role of mentor to other team members, to accelerate their development. Candidates will need to be able to quickly acquire new skills and follow company policies and procedures.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer servers, workstations, printers, desk phones, smartphones, software deployment, security updates, wireless networks, switches, and patching.
- O365 Administration
- Strong attention to detail when planning future implementations, migrations, and integrations.
- Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, access rights and software licenses / subscriptions.
- Maintain accurate inventory and asset listing of IT Equipment.
- Assist with and document network software, hardware, and system security maintenance.
- Ability to learn new technologies to research, recommend, schedule, and perform upgrades that support and assist with business processes.
- Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services.
- Evaluate and modify system performance.
- Support and maintain the following technologies :
- HTML
- MS SQL Server
