JOB SUMMARY
Prolec Dallas components facility is looking for an individual to handle all shipping and receiving responsibilities. Person must be reliable, dependable and able to work well with others and without supervision. Fast paced environment w / emphasis on customer service. Prefer experience with LTL, hot shots and dedicated freight.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Loading / Unloading trucks (box / flatbed)
Verifying order completion / Quality control
Calling for rate quotes
Scheduling pick ups
Ability to multitask.
Picking, packing, shipping, and receiving of parts
Assist in internal goods movement as needed.
Contribute to a safe work environment through continuous focus on housekeeping and safety
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Forklift : 1 year (Preferred)
MS office suite and general computer knowledge
Pushing / Pulling / Lifting / Carrying up to 50 pounds without assistance
Physical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead.
Be proficient in data entry with minimal errors, and detail-oriented.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required Education / Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Ability to speak, read and write in English
Six (6) months shipping and receiving experience with material handling experience preferred.
Preferred Education / Experience
2 years shipping and receiving experience with material handling experience preferred.
WMS / ERP experience
Proficient Level - Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Work in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment.
