Product Assembler

*This is an on-site position located in Shreveport, LA*

Prolec GE designs, manufactures, and sells products and solutions for the generation, transmission, and distribution of electric energy. Essential Responsibilities:

As a member of a World-Class Team, the Manufacturing Product Assembler Interior Assembly will work from manufacturing specifications, assembles insulation supports, filler, terminals, terminal boards, leads, bushbars, hardware, switches, tap changers, fuses and other components to interiors. Tightens assemblies and makes adjustments to insure proper operation of accessories. Bolts, clips, screws, or others fasteners parts together by use of necessary hands tools.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED

Desired Qualifications:

• Must be able to perform basic math, read drawings, use some basic hand tools, work safely at all times, operate a small jib crane, do minimum lifting of materials used to perform job.
• Must be able to follow directions and work as a team member will driving continuous improvement.
• Previous experience producing parts, components or assemblies on a production basis
• The ability to interpret and apply engineering drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in shop math
• The ability to read, interpret and apply various measurement devices, deminal tapes, scales, micrometers and calipers
