What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Programmer position at Prolec-GE Waukesha, Inc?
JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of the position is to provide CNC programming support for CNC machining centers. Additional duties will be to support the Manufacturing Engineering Department by specifying and procuring tools, data collection and analysis, manufacturing procedure creation, CAD layout creation and maintenance, and other duties as needed.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide machine-programming support for the flame cut machine, the Komo machine, the Rover machine, the Winline machine, and the Georg machine
Collect and analyze process data including the generation and posting of charts and graphs
Write and update manufacturing procedures
Research and order parts, tools and other materials in support of Manufacturing Engineering projects
Support company LEAN activities
Help to organize and set up LEAN events
Design simple production tools and assembly fixtures
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Requires formal CNC training
Must have strong oral and written communication skills
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Power Point)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required Education / Experience
High school diploma
Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in manufacturing and have in depth knowledge of machining processes

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
