Responsible for managing IT service disruptions and coordinate with teams to restoring services within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
Determine incident severity and priority, coordinate response efforts, and ensure timely resolution.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.
Develop and implement incident response procedures, ensure adherence to ITIL best practices, and analyze trends to identify areas for improvement.
May involve process improvement, training, and documentation related to incident management.
Oversee the end-to-end incident management process, including ticket triaging and resolution.
Focuses on managing high-impact incidents and coordinating recovery efforts.
Handle incidents and service requests, often as part of a broader IT support function.
Confirming that incidents are resolved and documenting the resolution.
Leading the change management activities within a structured process framework.
Evaluating the change impact and organizational readiness to limit potential risk.
Supporting training and communication as part of change management. Activities may include designing or delivering specialized training resources to appropriate userbase.
Evaluating the risk of change and providing actionable guidelines on reducing the impact.
Evaluating Requests for Change (RFCs), the available resources, impact of change, and organizational readiness.
Using the diverse knowledge base, skills, and expertise of each CAB member to provide a unique perspective before a decision is finalized.
