Responsibilities:​ ​​This​ ​position​ ​is​ ​responsible​ ​for​ ​research​ ​pertaining​ ​to​ ​current​ ​client​ ​news​ ​and​ ​events, writing​ ​press​ ​releases​ ​and​ ​media​ ​advisories,​ ​and​ ​assisting​ ​with​ ​client​ ​accounts​ ​as​ ​needed.​ ​​​This​ ​position requires​ ​an​ ​exceptional​ ​work​ ​ethic,​ ​as​ ​well​ ​as​ ​professional​ ​writing​ ​and​ ​research​ ​abilities.

• Research, write, edit, and fact-check press releases, statements, and editorials
• Develop and curate customized media contract lists, tailored for each client’s location audience and campaigns
• Identify opportunities in the news cycle
• Collaborate and brainstorm alongside a team to assign tasks to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met
• Master and utilize company PR tools (such as Cision and Meltwater)
• Create​ ​analysis​ ​for​ ​client/media​ ​interactions​ ​and​ ​circulation
• Research, establish, and develop media relationships
• Present​ ​superb​ ​written​ ​material​ ​by​ ​requested​ ​deadlines
• Increase​ ​media​ ​interactions​ ​with​ ​client​ ​press​ ​releases​ ​measured​ ​by​ ​company​ ​analytics
• Other​ ​activities​ ​as​ ​assigned​ ​by​ ​manager

The responsibilities are many, various, and not limited to those listed above.

• Currently working towards BSc/BA or recent graduate in Public Relations, Communications, Business, or a related field
• Background in researching, writing and editing publications
• Interest in different industries, particularly in Faith, Business, and Government
• Excellent writing skills in multiple formats
• Presentation skills
• Project and Time management
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Results driven
• Knowledge of AP Style

• Interns will be compensated $2,500 for the summer
• Interns will enjoy various meals and team building entertainment opportunities

Location: Nashville, TN

Duration: 10 weeks:  June 2nd– August 7th
