ProLift Garage Doors seeks Installation and Repair Technicians to perform installations, services, and repairs for the greater West Michigan area. Responsibilities
- Develop customer relationships
- Clear communication with staff and customers
- Repair and install various garage doors and openers, residential and/or light commercial
Requirements
- Prefer previous experience servicing/installing garage doors, but will train the right candidate
- Mechanical aptitude, problem solving skills
- Ability to operate a variety of computer programs for scheduling and support managing daily route
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public
- Team player; strong collaboration skills
- Must be a self-starter and self-managed
- Must have a valid drivers' license with a good driving record
- Follow standard operating procedures outline by PfroLift Garage Doors
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of experience or background that would provide the skills and abilities that is necessary to complete the job
Physical Demands
Requires frequently: Standing, lifting of 50 lbs., Carrying 50 lbs., walking, pushing, stooping, climbing, bending, crouching, crawling, reaching above and below shoulder level; full use of hands, good finger dexterity, lifting from floor to waist and twisting of the torso. It also includes practice ladder safety and power tool safety, and work in an outside environment, exposed to heat, cold, sun, high humidity, rain, and other adverse weather conditions at times.
Experience
- Garage Door Installation/ Commercial Construction: 1 year (Preferred)
- And/or Building and construction: 1 year
