Job Title: Production Support Engineer (Hybrid)
Location: Reston, Virginia (Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 days remote)

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Production Support Engineer to join our dynamic team in Reston, Virginia. This hybrid role requires providing 24/7 support, managing cloud-based infrastructure, and troubleshooting issues to ensure the smooth operation of production systems. As a key player in the team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain high availability and optimize performance in a cloud-based environment using AWS technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- 24/7 Production Support: Act as the primary point of contact for incidents and escalations, ensuring that issues are resolved quickly to maintain system uptime.
- AWS Management: Leverage your expertise in AWS services (such as ECS, S3, RDS Aurora, VPC, API Gateway, Secrets Manager, and more) to support and maintain cloud infrastructure.
- Job Scheduling & Automation: Utilize tools like Autosys and AWS native services for efficient job scheduling and automation of tasks.
- File Transfer Solutions: Manage and maintain secure file transfer systems, including SFTP and Connect Direct, ensuring reliable file transfer operations.
- Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis: Quickly identify, analyze, and resolve system issues in production environments.
- Collaboration: Work with DevOps, Development, and Cloud Infrastructure teams to ensure smooth deployment of applications and services.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation of incidents, root cause analysis, and recovery procedures. Prepare periodic reports on system health and performance.
- On-Call Rotation: Participate in a primary on-call support rotation, ensuring that critical systems remain operational 24/7.
Required Qualifications:
- 6 years of experience in Production Support or similar roles, with a focus on cloud infrastructure and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with AWS Console, CLI, and key AWS services such as:
- ECS, S3, SQS/SNS, VPC, RDS Aurora, Secrets Manager
- Experience with API Gateway for managing APIs in the cloud.
- Hands-on experience with Autosys or other job schedulers.
- Strong experience with Managed File Transfer Solutions (e.g., SFTP, Connect Direct).
- Experience with AWS Solutions Architect principles, or equivalent certifications preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a proven ability to manage production incidents and root cause analysis.
