Job Summary:
The Assembler 2 will perform a range of tasks in the assembly of mechanical components, including repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly operations. This position requires attention to detail, ability to follow technical diagrams and drawings, and the use of hand and power tools. The Assembler 2 will also be responsible for conducting quality inspections and may need to disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble assemblies and subassemblies under simulated conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of assembly tasks on mechanical assemblies and subassemblies, including modules, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
- Work from technical diagrams, drawings, and layouts to complete assemblies accurately.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, jigs, and saws to perform assembly tasks.
- Conduct quality inspections on processing lines in accordance with established quality specifications.
- Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble prototype assemblies as per given specifications under simulated conditions.
- Maintain clean and organized workstations.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and guidelines while working with tools and materials.
- Meet production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in mechanical assembly or similar production roles is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and drawings.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality assurance capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changes in specifications or processes.
