Job Description : Firewall Engineer
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage firewall solutions to ensure the security of our network infrastructure.
Perform advanced configuration and maintenance of firewalls.
Develop and update firewall policies to protect against internal and external threats.
Monitor network traffic and logs to identify and mitigate security risks.
Collaborate with IT teams to integrate firewalls with existing systems and architectures.
Provide technical leadership and guidance on network security best practices.
Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with security standards.
Must-Have Skills
In-depth knowledge of firewall technologies.
Proven experience in firewall policy configuration and management.
Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching.
Ability to troubleshoot complex network security issues.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Good-to-Have Skills
Exposure to automation tools.
Experience with scripting and automation to streamline firewall management tasks.
Familiarity with cloud security principles and technologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Relevant certifications in network security.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in a network security role.
