Pay Package: $3,100 Gross Weekly 40 HRS ($46.35 HR $69.53 OT $1246 Stipend)

Length: 13 weeks

• Must have 2yrs recent Cath lab experience. Ideal candidate will have IR and Cath Lab experience so they can float between units.
• Responsibilities: Cath Lab Pre/Post Op RN, Charting procedures, monitoring pt. vitals, sedation, assisting with care. Pre-post OP care. Hourly rounding.
• Number of labs/Procedures per day: 3 labs typically seeing about 10-12 outpatient procedures per day.
• Equipment used: Phillips X-Ray, Merge Hemo for Procedure Charting
• Req'd Certs & License: BLS & ACLS | OH or Compact License.
• Shift: Variable AM M-F (start 7a or 8a), 40hrs (5x8s or 4x10).
• On Call: every 3-4 days during week(Monday - Friday) and every 3rd to 4th weekend.
• Weekend/Holiday requirement: No weekends (unless on call), no holidays.
• Floating: May float to IR if dual trained.
• EMR: MediTech & Merge Hemo

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Catheterization Lab team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cardiac care and catheterization procedures, with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. This role requires proficiency in various nursing practices, including pain management and catheter care, while ensuring the highest standards of safety and comfort for patients undergoing cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Administer medications and manage IV infusions as per physician orders.
• Provide catheter care and ensure proper maintenance of catheters throughout the procedure.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records using eClinicalWorks.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care, including tube feeding if necessary.
• Assist in pain management strategies to ensure patient comfort during procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the lab to enhance patient outcomes.
