AGGREGATE TESTING TECHNICIAN - Civil Engineering/Construction
Construction Materials Testing - Soil Testing - Concrete Testing - Asphalt and Paving - Structural Integrity
Civil Engineering Technologies - Civil Engineering - Geology (2 or 4 year program), relevant certifications (ACI, NICET, ODOT), or at least two years of relevant on the job experience

Job Description:
- Perform construction testing services related to earthwork, concrete, asphalt and utility construction
- Responsible for inspecting and reporting on specific aspects of construction projects, such as concrete pours, rebar placement, pipe replacements as examples. May be responsible for inspection and sampling of construction materials.
- Performs computations with formulas, plots data and draws simple curves and graphs.
- Assists in field during soil and materials testing
- Ensures that job site tests/observations, are performed in accordance with the standard methods, project specifications and other contract document requirements
- May perform lab and on-site testing and observation of soils, concrete and asphalt, and other materials.
- Performs inspections for construction projects to ensure contractor compliance with state specifications, plans, and/or proposals for roadway work, roadway, or pavement.
- Verifies plan quantities and calculations as bid plans.
- Prepares and maintains project records and reports on a daily basis (company issued tablet)
- May notify the Contractor or the Project Engineer of non-conforming work.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- Successful completion of drug screen (full ten panel lab tested) and background check
- Clean MVR and valid driver's license in order to operate company vehicles
- Must be able to handle physical requirements of the position; ie weather conditions, extended time on feed, some lifting
- Must be able to work necessary overtime and occasional overnight travel within OH and possibly neighboring states (up to 20% once trained)
Preferred but not required:
- ACI certifications (American Concrete Institute)
- NICET Certifications **
- 2-4 year degree in civil engineering technologies
